10-year-old boy killed in Smyrna crash

SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 10-year-old boy was killed n a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Smyrna.

The accident involving a Ford Explorer and SUV occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Old Nashville Highway at Rocky Fork Road.

Police said the SUV rolled over and was upside in the roadway.

All four occupants in the Explorer, including the 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy, were transported to Stonecrest Medical Center for treatment.

The 10-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other three crash victims remain hospitalized for their injuries. Neither their conditions nor identities were not immediately released.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
