Shots fired at Murfreesboro duplex

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Murfreesboro police are investigating after shots were fired at a duplex Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the intended target of the shooting is not cooperating with the investigation.

The shooting occurred on Wenlon Drive, just off North Tennessee Boulevard just before 1 p.m.

A witness told News 2 he heard a verbal argument before people left the home. Shots were then allegedly fired at the duplex just seconds later.

The witness reported there was a similar incident at the same location Monday night.

Police have since located the intended target of the shooting. The person is not cooperating with police and refuses to answer questions.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Nearby Saint Rose Catholic School was placed on alert for a short period of time after the shots were fired.

The investigation is ongoing.
