NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – There’s a possibility of severe weather Tuesday afternoon across Middle Tennessee. Conditions will be dry during most of the morning commute.
From late morning and midday through the afternoon there’s a 40 percent chance of scattered thundershowers. By late afternoon the best storm chance is east of Interstate 65, toward the Cumberland Plateau. There’s a slight risk of severe weather for the Mid-South, with damaging winds the primary threat. Isolated hail is also possible.
More widespread thundershowers are expected during the second half of the week from Wednesday through the holiday weekend. Temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 80s. Saturday is the Fourth of July and there are scattered thundershowers in the forecast; it’s about a 40% percent chance.
